Because the double-wall corrugated pipe has a different structure from the single-wall corrugated pipe, the extrusion molding unit is different.
(1) Since the double-wall corrugated pipe has an inner and outer two-layer structure, two extruders are generally required for extrusion molding. One is used to extrude and plasticize the inner layer material, and the other is used to extrude the plasticized outer layer material. The inner and outer layer materials can be different. In the production, the inner layer material can be used to reduce the cost of pipes. The choice of extruder should be based on different materials. When producing PVC double-wall corrugated pipes, conical twin-screw extruders are generally used, and single-screw extruders can also be used when the inner layer is recycled. Inner layer materials; single-screw extruders are often used in the production of HDPE double-wall corrugated pipes.
(2) The die for extruding the tube blank generally adopts a dual-channel composite pipe die. A compressed air enters the channel between the inner and outer melt channel cavities, and the compressed air inflates the outer layer of melt. , Make it close to the corrugated mold to form the outer corrugated pipe wall; the central hole of the inner core rod can place the heater, and there are channels for compressed air and cooling water. Since the die can't move between the two halves of the corrugated die, the wall thickness of the tube blank is adjusted by moving the position of the split cone and the mandrel to adjust the gap between the mandrel and the die.
3) The auxiliary machine for double-wall corrugated pipe forming is basically the same as that for single-wall corrugated pipe forming, mainly composed of forming machine, transmission device, cooling device, cutting device, stacking device, etc. The corrugated forming mold fixes the pair of forming modules one by one on the two belts that move synchronously and cyclically to form a row of moving forming modules, which are driven to rotate by a transmission device to form a corrugated shape on the tube blank. And stick the inner and outer walls. The transmission device generally uses rack and pinion transmission. The transmission must be stable and reliable during molding. The module must move in parallel at the inlet and outlet of the molding section, so that the head is not easy to scratch, and the resistance of the pipe is small when it is demolded.
